Sam Ayesiga’s professional career spans over 20 years working, leading and transforming teams in a Big 4 Audit firm (Ernst & Young); and the largest bank in Africa (Standard Bank Group). He has worked in 11 countries accorss Sub Saharan Africa specializing in governance, external and internal audit, audit of IT systems, risk management and investment advisory.
Sam is also an independent board of director and Chair of Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) for Unifreight Cargo Handling Limited; one of the leading logistics companies in Uganda providing Cargo Clearance, Trucking and Terminal Management of a Car Freight Station (CFS) at Mombasa.
Sam is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Fellow of Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Governance in Enterprise Information Technology (CGEIT). He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting (Oxford Brookes University) and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Chemistry (Makerere University Kampala). He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Circular Economy & Sustainability ( James Lind Institute, Switzerland) and Green Energy Finance Specialist (GEFS) from Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG in Germany.
Sam is a consultant in investment advisory specializing in development of business plans, debt and equity finance raising, financial modelling, business due diligences, feasibility studies, project finance proposal development, investment appraisals, business valuations and structuring potential investments. In the past decade, Sam has successfully facilitated to financial close over 25 equity investments and debt finance/transactions in agro-processing, real estate, energy, manufacturing and mining with combined transaction value in excess of USD$500Million.
